The following are all items available in Gauge 1 (1:32 Scale).

United Dairies/Unigate/Express Dairy Milk Tank Plates

In the 1950s many milk tanks were given plates, attached to the side of the tank, to comunicate which company owned the tank (the actual tanks on milk tank wagons were privately owned). These plates are the perfect finishing touch for the Slaters LMS d.1994 kit.

The United Dairies and Express Dairy plates could be seen on wagons from the early 50s right through to the end of milk traffic in the 70s. Most United Dairies tanks would have recieived Unigate plates along with Aplin & Barett and Cow & Gate diagrams post 1959 (when the merger of United Dairies, Aplin & Barrett and Cow & Gate took place) but some never did.

Gauge 1 Express Dairy Milk Tank Plate

The plates include both the company plate and the distinctive round number plate that was attached to the baulks at the tank ends. The numbers were Express Dairy’s own fleet numbers and were assigned in build order. Numbers available are suitable for LMS d.1994 wagons.
