The precursors to the Air Ministry wagons these kits cover the 14T class A riveted tank wagons built to the 1927 RCH spec but with a 10′ wheelbase. They appeared in the 1930s and were built with either saddle or cradle tank mountings. They could be seen in service until the late 1960s. The main visual differences between these and the Air Ministry wagons were the tank fittings, the visable baffle plate rivets on the tank sides and the lack of splash plates above the wheels.

As with the Air Ministry kits these include an underframe, tank and details etched in two materials and on three different thicknesses along with 3D printed saddles or cradles, tank ends, one piece end stanchions/crossbeams, springs/axleboxes, buffer housings and tank fittings. There is a choice of inside or outside of solebar fitting for the angled crossbeam stays and the kits include Air Ministry type small walkways, as fitted to some ESSO wagons, or the 4 support type fitted by SMBP from the late fifties. Esso and SMBP style ladders are also included for those wagons that were retrofitted with them. EM and P4 only.
