Rumney Models New Items September 2024

New releases for Autumn 2024. Most of these items are in stock. A couple didn’t quite make the deadline for my last round of ordering and so will be available at the beginning of November. If the RTR boys can announce things years in advance I’m sure people won’t mind a few weeks while I wait for stock. I’m happy to take orders for them. All items are 4mm scale and are suitable for OO, EM and P4 except where stated.

The monkey tails and headstock cutting jigs are available while stocks last. They are small items I used to fill up sheets and I will only get stocks of them when I need to order more of the main item on the sheet.

LMS Loco Bogies

Following on from the 6’6” trailing bogie that was releases last year (now code X.29A) there are three kits for LMS and MR leading bogies. They feature sprung beams as per the prototype and are P4 only. They will need High Level Minibloxs to complete. The three types are as follows:

  • X.29B – LMS 6’6” for 4-6-0s
  • X.29C – LMS 6’3” for 4-6-0s
  • X.29D – MR 6’6” for 4-4-0s

All are £7 each.

The LMS bogies are in stock, but the MR bogie will not be available until November 2024.

GWR Mink F

Commissioned by Marcus Burrows and inspired by the Hobbytime offering, a full kit for the GWR bogie Mink F. The kit is mostly etched brass with 3D printed details such as the distinctive wooden door frames. It includes Rumney Models sprung bogies and covers both fitted and unfitted wagons.

There are two versions of the kit, the difference between them lies in the bogies supplied. Kit X.27A covers the first two wagons which were built unfitted and kit X.27B covers the remaining six fitted wagons which had additional external angle on the top of the bogie sideframes.

  • X.27A – Unfitted for wagons 69996/7. Includes Rumney Models bogies PG.03A
  • X.27B – For the remaining 6 vacuum braked wagons. Includes Rumney Models bogies PG.03B

Both kits are £59.

Available November 2024.

Monkey Tails

A small etch to help reproduce the bottom door opening levers, or Money Tails, found on early independent brake 16T minerals (B.115 – £1). They are designed for use with Rumney Models underframes B.16 and B.17 and include sufficient parts for 1 wagon. They are not suitable for wooden underframe minerals. Available while stocks last.

Shock Wagon Springs & Covers

A new kit for the distinctive shock absorbing gear used on opens and vans (PB.91 – £4). To make life easier, this version includes 3D printed springs/brackets along with etched covers for use where required. For GWR, LMS and BR built wagons. This replaces the original B.91 etch which has now been withdrawn.

Site Map

Finally, I am aware that the navigation menu on this site doesn’t always work as it should despite my efforts. I have therefore published a Site Map page where you can easily access any other page on this website.

Happy modelling,
